Why cant boys just say if they like you?

I want to know if a boy likes me鈥?if he likes me, would he tell me? Because a lot of people think he does, but he just says he doesn鈥檛 like me that way. Do boys just say this, and why cant they just say yes they like you if they do?! Like i said i think he does..is he just shy, or doesnt he? Do other boys do this too or what?! P.S. were 13

Well, he could be shy. Or a bit insecure and afraid of being rejected. Do you like him, and if so does he know? If he knows and still says he doesn't like you then he probably doesn't. If not, then it's a possibility he does.

Well I can tell you for me I dont tell girls I like them because I dont have any girls that are friends, so the girls I usually like are in a class or at a place I go to. However, I do know that guys who do have friends who are girls can be shy, are afraid of rejection, dont know what to say (like me).

Every person is different and they all have their own reasons to why they dont say it.
